Last Of The Nobodies

Nobody Is Coming To Save You

Last of the Nobodies is back with Volume 2, Nobody Is Coming To Save You. A collaborative hip hop album bringing together more than 30 artists from across Montana. But more than a release, Volume 2 is a mission statement: nobody is coming to save us, but that doesn't mean we have to wait for permission.

That mission has been the heartbeat of this project from day one. Montana's music scene is often left out of the wider industry conversation — spread across small towns and long distances, without the infrastructure bigger cities take for granted. Last of the Nobodies exists to close that gap, giving local artists the studio time, platform, and community they deserve, and proving that a scene doesn't need a big city behind it to be worth hearing.

What makes Volume 2 matter isn't just its size — it's who it's for. This is music made by Montana artists, for the Montana community, with the explicit goal of putting the state's talent on the map and keeping the support local. Every session was another chance to prove that the state's hip hop scene isn't just alive — it's connected, collaborative, and growing fast, one artist and one town at a time. It's less a sequel and more a statement: the movement that started with 24 artists in Volume 1 is now a full-blown scene, built by Montana, for Montana.

Last of the Nobodies releases new music every Wednesday and continues to grow through community support and local partnership across Montana. Volume 2 is out now.

BRING THEM HOME

2024

A hundred and fifty years ago, the Blackfoot people witnessed the near-extinction of bison, one of the most important links to their identity, culture and spirituality – an act that nearly destroyed the tribe. Since then, the Blackfoot have endured a century long campaign of oppression and persecution from the United States government – a brutal and violent experience that they are only now healing from.

Bring Them Home follows a small group of Blackfoot who are working to right these historic wrongs by returning wild bison to their lands – an act that would heal people, re-enliven traditional culture and bring economic opportunity to their community.

But this mission has been thwarted at every turn by cattle ranchers, internal politics and the legacy of colonialism. If this opposition is successful, not only would bison never return to the wild, but it would threaten decades of work to reintroduce traditional tribal culture, language, livelihood – in essence it would complete a process started two centuries ago, a death of their spirit.

Our film charts the course of this struggle from past to present – from the near-annihilation of bison and the Blackfoot people to the origins of the effort to restore wild bison and the present-day threats to their work and culture. It closely follows the tribal members who have given their lives and hearts to this struggle for the betterment of their people and is an intimate look at the willpower and resilience it takes to survive and thrive in the face of near-continuous hostility.
